This link to the news article sourced from the California Association of Realtors is interesting in light of the fact that Shiller (in my last blog entry) claims that real estate is not an investment. My thoughts were that he does not address the tax or lifestyle benefits of owning a home.
The real estate is up or down discussion is the same as the stock market... depends on who you are interviewing and what their political leaning is that day.
